for the love of humanity (part II) / by Maranie Staab

having spent enough time with them and having witnessed their work this is not an effort to covert or to prosthelytize a "lost soul". the actions that i have witnessed are out of love and a fundamental understanding that it is the right thing to do — to help our fellow human being in a time of ultimate need. .
.
i wish for everyone (especially those who have managed to turn the word refugee into a curse word and who further the hateful rhetoric all too present in today's society) to have the opportunity to witness this type of unfettered love -- and it goes both ways as those who are muslim have showered those christians aiding them with the warmth and generosity of spirit that i have found to be commonplace among those following the Islamic faith. .
